Ysabel Jurado is an associate practicing transactional law.
Prior to joining Gundzik Gundzik Heeger LLP, Ysabel was a Skadden Fellow at Bet Tzedek Legal Services where she provided holistic legal services to prevent the displacement of tenants, community organizations, and small businesses in Los Angeles' Historic Filipinotown, through eviction defense, policy advocacy, and educational presentations.
Ysabel graduated from UCLA School of Law where she specialized in critical race studies and completed the David J. Epstein Program in Public Interest Law and Policy. She also attended Pasadena City College and later graduated from University of California, Los Angeles with a bachelor's degree in political science.
Inspired by her Filipino-American identity and her family's immigrant experience, Ysabel's professional work has been dedicated to resolving the problems her family faced. Ysabel is interested in creative legal solutions to promote a more equitable and just economy.
Ysabel resides in Highland Park with her soccer-loving daughter.
Ysabel speaks Tagalog and Spanish.
